Tom Jamison
Editor of Able Magazine
Tom Jamison is the editor of the UK’s favourite disability lifestyle publication, Able Magazine.
Tom has lived experience of disability, having been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in his thirties. Additionally, within his work for Able Magazine, he has spoken with thousands of disabled people to tell their stories and share the answers and solutions they’ve come up with in making it all work.
During the past 15 years, Tom has also been involved in many commercial projects with both disability specialists and in supporting mainstream companies and organisations in becoming more inclusive.
As the editor, Tom promotes Able Magazine’s motto: ‘About what disabled people can do, not what they can’t’ whenever possible.
“Being the editor of Able Magazine is a huge responsibility and an enormous privilege. As a disabled person in media, I get to celebrate the achievements of incredible people in the knowledge that with every story, disability issues are inched that little bit forward.”
