Professor Nancy Doyle
Founder of Genius Within CIC, Co-Director for The Centre For Neurodiversity at Work at Birkbeck Uni at Genius Within CIC
Business and Finance
Professor Nancy Doyle is a Chartered Psychologist, in occupational psychology and the founder of Genius Within CIC, a social enterprise dedicated to facilitating the workplace inclusion of neurodivergent people through consultancy, assessments, workshops and coaching.
The Genius Within team are 68% Neurodivergent and/or disabled with representation at every level of the organisation.
She is also the Co-Director of the Centre for Neurodiversity at Work at Birkbeck, University of London, having completed her Doctoral Research at City University of London.
Nancy is a proud ADHDer and her lived experience has been a driving force in her career. She knew what it was like to struggle and feel misunderstood in an environment that didn’t cater to her neurotype. She founded Genius Within in 2011 because she wanted to support people dealing with needless barriers to success, whilst also creating a new narrative for employers around the value of diversity of thought. Beyond the business world her organisation has also seen incredible success working with clients in the criminal justice and employability sectors where their impact is perhaps the most life changing. At present in her career she has shifted focus to research and writing because as an academic she recognises the great need for published work and an evidence base to support a move away from the often stigmatising and pathologising view of neurodivergence.
Inclusion is a moral, social and economic imperative. We all lose when diverse human potential is squandered.
