Community Advocate

My advocacy journey started at 16 when I joined Whizz-Kidz, at 18 I joined the Kidz board. Since then I have spoken at many conferences and even been invited to the House of Lords. I joined the GBRTT NRAS advisory group and through this I also became a member of the East Midlands Railway Inclusivity board and it’s been fabulous to affect change within these groups and see how the groups are creating a path forward in regards to accessibility in the railways. Finally, I recently set up WYSAN with support from the Virgin Money Foundation and Northern Soul as a fellow on the Virgin Money Young ChangeMakers Fellowship. WYSAN will support young disabled people in West Yorkshire, my home county.
