Christina Warner is a family and animal protection barrister at 33 Bedford Row Chambers.

Having been described as a powerful advocate as well as possessing a human touch, Christina has channelled her efforts into raising awareness of those with disabilities accessing the family courts.

Having been diagnosed with Stargardts Disease, a progressive condition which causes sight loss she has been unwavering in her commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Proudly representing members of the LGBTQ+ communities as well as Spanish and Portuguese-speaking communities wishing to access the family justice system, Christina aims to raise the voices of those living with, or challenged by, disability and their rights to inclusion within family proceedings.

Christina has spoken at events and has been published both nationally and globally, on subjects including the impact of international conflict on disabled women and girls, the effects of domestic abuse on companion animals, Do Not Resuscitate Orders and the autonomy of disabled patients and the International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute and the LGBTQ+ community.

A multi award-winning advocate and campaigner she has been credited by Amnesty UK, Advocate, WeAreTheCity, UK Diversity Legal Awards (2018 and 2021), the Family Law Awards, UK Chambers & Partners Awards and highly commended at the LexisNexis Awards 2023. Most recently she has been shortlisted by the SheInspires Awards, the National Diversity Awards and the Modern Law Awards 2023. Christina also featured in Middle Temple’s Disability History Month exhibition 2021 and was appointed a member of the Bar Council’s Disability Panel in 2021.
