Kim Tserkezie has worked as an Actor, Producer, Presenter and Writer for 25 years, with a career spanning comedy, drama and documentary.
Kim got her first TV break back in the 1990’s as a presenter for BBC’s Disability Today and From The Edge. She went on to play Penny Pocket in four series and two arena tours of BAFTA award winning, Balamory. In 2020, Kim won a Royal Television Society Award for best drama performance for her leading role in Obsession (BFI Network). Other acting credits include Boy Meets Girl; Wolfblood, feature film, Bliss; and Lodger, a TV comedy pilot she co-wrote and performed live at BBC Salford Sitcom Showcase, as well as numerous theatre roles.
Kim is founder and MD of Scattered Pictures. Since 2011, the company has developed projects which focus on under-represented talent and perspectives. Credits includes several radio documentary commissions for BBC World Service.
Kim has received drama and comedy writing commissions from BBC, ITV and C4. She is currently writing and producing TV, film and audio projects with leading production companies such as BBC Studios, IMG Productions, Ardimages UK and Seven Seas Films.
I believe meaningful inclusion in broadcasting will happen when fair representation exists throughout the whole creative and production process on and off screen, from training and writing to directing, right through to commissioning. That goal is the driving force behind all of my work.”
